Michael Hamilton

Hi, my name is Michael! I am a third year student at the University of Guelph majoring in Bio-Medical Sciences and minoring in Business Studies. I am one of the Co-Presidents with the STEM Students Guelph Support Association. My role in the club is to oversee the functioning of all the club’s branches and make all the big logistical decisions for the club. I am very passionate about pediatric medicine, along with research in the medical immunology and molecular biology fields. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, meditation and volunteering with youth organizations. Hey everyone! My name is Meryam and I am the healthcare branch coordinator. I am a second year Biomedical sciences student. My goal as the branch coordinator is to assist our future healthcare workers throughout their undergraduate years. My team and I have been working hard to provide resources and the mentoring program in hope that we can ease the path to graduate schools! Tithi Jain

Head of Internal and External Affairs

Hi there! My name is Tithi and I'm a first year student studying biomedical sciences at the University of Guelph. I'm the other head of internal and external affairs here at the STEM Students Guelph Support Association. I work closely with the co-presidents to assist in making executive decisions as well as helping all other board members when needed. I aspire to work in pediatric medicine while focusing closely on metabolic diseases. Some of my hobbies include reading, watching Netflix, crocheting and working out. Kartikay Pabbi

Head of Internal and External Affairs

My name is Kartikay (I also go by Karti) and I am a third year Biomedical Science Major at the University of Guelph. I am the Head of Internal and External Affairs for the Stem Students Guelph Support Association. My role consists of overseeing and assisting all board members with various operations, and offering additional help where needed, while working closely with the Co-Preisdents to make executive decisions for the club. My passion lies in helping make the community a better place through giving back. With over 700 community service hours working with children, elderly, intellectually disabled individuals, and executives, I believe it is crucial to take part in meaningful experiences that help develop character and leave a positive impact on the world. Whether that means giving time, resources, education, or simply my company, I believe the community can greatly benefit from this type of attitude, especially if it is shared among more community members. Asides from this, I enjoy travelling with my friends and family, listening to my favourite music, and learning about investing.

I manage the social media pages and advertise club events along with answering any questions you may have about our club! Sana Tasawar

Hi everyone! My name is Sana and I am the Co-Director of Communications for the STEM Students Guelph Support Association. I am very excited to be going into my third year of Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences at the University of Guelph! As the director of communications, I am in charge of managing the official website of this club, along with creating web advertisements. I’m passionate about healthy eating and, when not busy with academics, I love shopping, travelling, and enjoy making double chocolate brownies! Thomas Habib

My name is Thomas Habib, and I am studying Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph. I’m currently in second year and I’m considering a minor in statistics! I’m currently an executive member of the STEM Student’s Guelph Support Association and my role is the Case Competition Branch Coordinator. This role involves being the primary contact for all inquiries regarding the Case Competition. It also involves proving support and feedback to all executive members of the Case Competition Branch and communicating information from the Branch to the Board of Directors. Outside of school I have many interests such as cars, travelling and technology.

Faraz Adibzadeh

Hello everyone, my name is Faraz, and I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Bio-Medical Science. For the 2021-2022 school year, I will be an executive member of the STEM Students Guelph Support Association as one of the co-directors of finance. In coordination with Maddy and Lyndsey, my responsibilities include overseeing club finances and expenditures, among other financial duties. I am very passionate about soccer and have a fascination for the world of finance. I love playing soccer, going skiing with friends, and keeping up with the stock market in my free time. I am very excited to be a part of the SSGSA and hope this can be a fun and exciting year for everyone!

Maddy Packer

My name is Madison Packer and I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Biomedical Science. As part of my university involvement, I am an executive member of the STEM Students Guelph Support Association (SSGSA), as the Co-Director of Finance. I am responsible for overseeing club finances among other things. When I am not studying or creating a budget, you can see me on the soccer field. I grew up playing soccer and I have a gained a true passion for the sport.

My name is Erminio Jacobelli and I am a third-year student at the University of Guelph majoring in Biological Science. I am one of the Co-Director of Events: Mentornity Managers with STEM Students Guelph Support Association. My role in the club is to manage the Mentornity platform and foster connections between mentors and their mentees for our Healthcare Mentorship Program. I am very passionate about science and the fields of pharmacy/biotechnology. I have a strong interest in sustainability to help combat climate change and entrepreneurship to find innovative ideas that can improve our healthcare system. Hi! My name is Caitlin and I am a second year Biomed student! I love to hang out with my dog and spending time playing games with my family. I joined the SSGSA in hopes to help other STEM students feel like they have a community where they belong. I enjoy being able to plan fun activities for the club to run! I hope to be able to run many more events in the future for STEM students.

Cassidy Laub

Case Competition Coordinator

Hey! I’m Cassidy Laub. I’m in my third year of bio-medical science at the University of Guelph. In the SSGSA, I am the Logistics Coordinator of the Case Competition Branch. I collaborate with my branch to plan the SSGSA STEM Sustainability Case Competition. Specifically, I oversee planning related to competition rules, venues, team formation and competition logistics. I am thrilled to be a part of this branch because I am passionate about creating opportunities for students to learn outside of school. The case competition is a great way to provide something fun for the University of Guelph community to participate in. Beyond this I love spending my time with family and friends. I try to spend as much time outside as possible, usually hiking or golfing.
